Due to extensive shoreline and nature conservation measures, some shipping police orders apply on Lake Werbellin.

The entire shoreline and lake area belongs to the Schorfheide-Chorin Biosphere Reserve and is under nature conservation. Mooring and mooring is only permitted at designated jetties and marinas.

Seit 15.6.2022 neue Fahrwasserbetonnung, trotz genügend Wassertiefe, vermutlich für Kursschiffe und Speedgleiter. Auf der West Seite des Sees die L220 wird die Straßet für Motorad-Raser
