The small Marina Lav north of Podstrana is part of the luxurious hotel complex Le Meridien Lav. tel. +38 521 500 388. The marina with 75 berths offers all the comforts of a marina including champagne bar at the harbour and a casino. Megayachts can also find a berth and the marina fee includes use of the facilities. The area around Podstrana was settled as far back as the Stone Age
The IIlyrians built a fort, which was taken by the Romans, and at the beginning of the 7th century Slavic tribes settled around Podstrana. In 1444 Podstrana came to Venice, from 1514 to 1686 it was Turkish and 1686 - 1806 Podstrana belonged to the Republic of Poljica.Napoleon I conquered the territories in 1806 and a little later he was expelled by the Austrians.NV Cruising Guide
