Uvala Povlja , large, four-armed anchorage in the northeast of
Brac. The small resort of Povlja is the namesake of the bay and is
the most unprotected quite lies to the east and relatively open to
the north - the Bora wind direction here is NW. But here is a small
pier with 2,9m water depth at the head, the quay in front of it has
1,8-2m there are mooring places with water and electricity. The
inner part of the harbour slopes down to 0,9m water depth. In front
of the harbour you can anchor well on 6-7m water depth. Restaraunts
are located right by the pier on the shore path leading to the
lighthouse at Rat Povlja. You can also walk further along the
shore, past the holiday settlement to the next bay, Ticja Luka. A
wonderful bathing bay, clear water and past a sandy, with quarry
stones built small harbour basin. The path continues south and
arrives in Polja at the church - a beautiful circular route.
