Description

Uvala Povlja , large, four-armed anchorage in the northeast of Brac. The small resort of Povlja is the namesake of the bay and is the most unprotected quite lies to the east and relatively open to the north - the Bora wind direction here is NW. But here is a small pier with 2,9m water depth at the head, the quay in front of it has 1,8-2m there are mooring places with water and electricity. The inner part of the harbour slopes down to 0,9m water depth. In front of the harbour you can anchor well on 6-7m water depth. Restaraunts are located right by the pier on the shore path leading to the lighthouse at Rat Povlja. You can also walk further along the shore, past the holiday settlement to the next bay, Ticja Luka. A wonderful bathing bay, clear water and past a sandy, with quarry stones built small harbour basin. The path continues south and arrives in Polja at the church - a beautiful circular route.
