Description

Risan, a small place in the northern Risanski Zaliv with a wide breakwater that protects the small harbor basin. Here the local boats are moored and at the fired pier you can moor at the head on 3m water depth or at the outside on 5-6m water depth. Wooden freighters are moored here. The supermarket is near the jetty and opposite you can visit the Roman mosaics. The Hotel Teuta is located to the west of the jetty, behind the small karst river "Spila". A good, sheltered anchorage can be found in front of the hotel at 6-10m water depth. Risan is today a small port where logs from the large forests of Bijela Gora are shipped and a tourist resort with the hotel Teuta, named after the Illyrian queen.
