Porto Limnionas - Sarandë

Sarandë - a modern big city with busy shipping traffic and "Port of Entry" here you have to clear in with an agent before you are allowed to moor in the marina. 

The port for yachts is in the bay west of the Kepi i Ferruc - Porto Limnionas. Here you are right on the eastern  outskirts of Sarandë  and all the shops are within easy reach.

 The narrow entrance to Limnionas Bay is lighted on both shores and 10m deep. On the east shore is Fuel Station with a bunker quay with WT 6.3m.
At the end of the bay is a long jetty with 5m water depth on both sides. Water and electricity at the jetty is available by arrangement with the harbourmaster. WC is in the building of the harbour master.

In the western part of the bay is a quay for small boats, here you can moor with the dinghy. Restaurants are just off the quay but a short walk takes you to the town of Sarandë.

 From this good sheltered mooring and you can visit the numerous ancient cultural sites in the area. The ruins of the Lekursi Castle, the Shen Gjergj Monastery on the headland to the Butrint lagoon and of course the UNESCO World Heritage Butrint National Park - in the south opposite the island of Corfu.
