Description

Jelsa is a lively resort in the northwest of Hvar surrounded by the highest mountains of the island. The harbour offers berths in front of the harbour office on the quay on the north side with 2.5m water depth and here is also the sanitary building. The jetties behind the fired breakwater (FL.G.3s) with 4m water depth have water/electricity at the jetties . On the inside of the pier the ferry to Split docks. The wide dock further in has 2m WT. On the west and south side it is shallower, the wide inner dock must be left clear and the dock behind the pier has only 1m water depth. Numerous shops, restaurants and bars in the village and a Dive Center on the north shore. In the southern bay is an aqua park, beach bars and restaurants. On the small peninsula between the bay has the winery "Tomic" a sales and tasting room.
