Description

Sa Pedrera de Cala d'Hort is a 16th century quarry and is also called the Atlantis of Ibiza. It looks like a fortress that has fallen into the seabed, surrounded by stunning turquoise waters, amazing coastal views and large cliffs. There are shallow pools for swimming, bathing, sunbathing and climbing.

In this quarry the boulders were quarried for the construction of the " Dalt Vila" (Old Town Ibiza) and the "Castillo de Ibiza".

Rock formations have been created that look like Atlantis and made the place a hippies mecca in 60s. They carved shapes and faces into the soft rock and created a city-like structure.

At the Torre des Savinar, on Cabo Jueu  a path leads down until you can see the sea, a path continues downhill and then you see the quarry - Atlantis.
