Navigation

North of Little Harbor, shoals form a maze in the Sea of Abaco. From the north, the beach east of the harbor entrance can serve as a landmark until you are east of Tom Curry Point. From the Atlantic, you can take aim at the prominent house on Bridges Cay. Take a heading of 333° between the rocky shoal off the lighthouse point and the reef that runs southwest of Goole Cay. Once past the shoal, steer slowly toward Tom Curry Point. Keep well north of the rocks off the eastern tip of the harbor. Tom Curry Point forms a range with the house at the southern tip of Little Harbour. When you are in line with this area, head south toward the house. This will take you into the marked navigation channel, which has a control depth of 1m. If you must wait for high water, anchor west of Tom Curry Point. Inside Little Harbour, the depth is 1.5 to 4 m.

If you can find a place away from the moorings, you will be protected on all sides in the harbor. Moorings are available at Pete's Pub. A day anchorage west of Tom Curry Point gives you protection from east to southwest.
