Conveniently situated Boat Harbour offers relatively easy access by car or foot to the shopping and other businesses in Marsh Harbour, the „big city“ in Abacos. Boat Harbour is also only a short distance by boat to White Sound and Hope Town. All manner of marine services can be found in town. Hardware stores, groceries, pharmacies, banks, and bakeries are all close to the water, but just far enough away to require a taxi if you’re going to do any heavy provisioning. Although there is a customs office at the government dock in Marsh Harbour, most cruisers opt to clear in at the marinas. Port of Entry.

Boat Harbour, located on the south-eastern side of the peninsula, is not actually part of the harbor, but is part of the town. Approach Boat Harbour from the southeast, giving a wide berth to the shallows off Boat Harbour Point. A flashing red light is located about 100 yards southeast of the entrance to the marina. Berthing: Boat Harbour Marina at the Abaco Beach Resort is the only facility in Boat Harbour. In addition to slips, they have gas and diesel, two restaurants, a dive shop, laundry facilities, and a liquor store.
