If necessary, the bridge opens for pleasure boats after contact (VHF 9 or telephone) with the bridge operator and at fixed opening hours.

The following opening hours apply during the 2024 season:

13:35h only weekends & holidays from mid-June - mid-August

16:35h only weekends & public holidays

20:35h

From 22:00h - 05:00h the Hisingen Bridge opens on request at the bridge guard

Coming from the east, a waiting area is set up at floating bridges in harbour bay on Stb.

Request for the brighe to be openden on VHF 9, call Hisingbron.
Northbound: Call at the reporting point A and B.
Southbound: Call at reporting point C.

Bridge signals
	F.R.	Bridge Cannot be opened.
	Iso.R.4s	Bridge shall not be passed.
	Iso.R.4s	Requesting vessel is observed.
	F.W.4s	Bridge about to be opened.
	Iso.G.4s	Bridge open, proceed.
	Iso.G.4s + Iso.R.4s	Pass without bridge-opening.

Die in der Karte noch eingezeichnete Götaälvbron ist mittlerweile (August 2022) komplett abgerissen.
