Description

Small boat harbor in the historic village and south of the mouth of the Dubracina. Today an extensive resort with restaurants, bars, etc. On the north side of the mouth is the gas station with 2.5m water depth at the quay. Another harbor basin is located behind the green-fired pier head with 3m water depth at the pier and moorings. The basin is to be further developed.

The very old city  received the name after the monastery church (crkva) which was donated by Prince Nikola Frankopan IV in 1412. It was also found in the city area ruins of Roman villas and paleontological findings in the cave "Vrtare Male Cave" - skeletons of elephants, cave lions, rhinoceroses and other species - about 30,000 years old.

Recent excavations prove that the settlement in the 1st century BC was one of the large settlements in the region with one of the largest pottery production of its time, it was found countless remains of ceramics and amphorae.
