Bensersiel is a modern, vibrant seaside resort as well as the island supply port of Langeoog.

Coming from Langeoog, the outer deep of Bensersiel is approached via the deep, well buoyed "Rute" fairway. The 1.5-nm-long outer deep runs between two breakwaters. The western causeway is still protruding from the water at MHW, with a beacon with a N-top sign at the head. There is a light beacon at the head of the eastern one. The channel between the guide dams , with a target depth of 1.4 m, is pricked on both sides. Strong changes must be expected in the area of the approach from the leading dams, especially after stormy winds. The pricks are then repositioned accordingly. This, in conjunction with the existing pile beacons with O-top signs, can make things very confusing for those unfamiliar with the area. In any case, you have to orientate yourself according to the pricks.

Berths

The well-protected marina, with 190 berths, of the Harlebucht sailing club is located on the starboard side. (also known as Frerichshafen) The eastern part of the marina has water depths of approx. 1.5 m, while the western part is almost dry, with the bottom consisting of soft silt everywhere.
Further berths belonging to the sailing club can be found on the western jetty in front of the pumping station. Here you can moor at a floating jetty with finger arms.
The quay berths are used by commercial shipping, for short mooring times with large yachts you have to make arrangements with the harbor office. VHF 17 or phone +49 4971 919912.

Surroundings

The village offers good supply options as well as the hustle and bustle of a modern seaside resort. Fuel can only be found at the nearby petrol station (400m).
