Helgoland offers a popular destination in the German North Sea with a marina. Moorings can be found in the southern harbor at the jetty of the WSC-Helgoland or at the pontoons of the Ostkaje. Especially at Easter, Ascension Day and Whitsun the harbor is often crowded and packs of 20 ships are not uncommon. It may be possible to anchor in the southwestern part of the southern harbor, but only with permission from the harbor authority (VHF 67). The inland harbor may be used for bunkering only for a short time. There is no space for guest berths in the northeast harbor. The dune port is closed.
