Small harbor of the former prison island south of Melna. The north and south quays have 4m water depth, the east side is silted and shallow. There is a small summer restaurant, excursion boats moor here during the day and there is hardly any space for yachts.
The island of Goli was actually a barren sheep island, before World War 1 then an Austrian prison island for Russian prisoners, from 1945 to 1988 a prison island of the Yugoslav KPD - with a men's camp. On the neighboring island Grgur Otok was the women's camp - on both islands were 11,000 - 18,000 prisoners imprisoned.
