Description

Club owned jetty at "Svinø Bådelaug" in the inner part of Ellebæk Vig on the north shore of the Svinø peninsula.

NV Cruising Guide

Navigation

A approach should be made with great caution. The 1.2m deep fairway is marked at times. In the inner part of Ellebæk Vig there are several unsurveyed groynes to be warned of.

Berths

The jetty is mainly occupied by local yachts, but guests are welcome. In northwesterly strong winds the boats are very choppy. Water depth 1 - 1.2m.
Anchorage:
A fairly good anchorage can be found in the western part of Ellebæk Vig at 3m water depth. In strong northwesterly winds, this place should be avoided, as strong swell quickly builds up here.

Surroundings

No permanent supply possibilities.

In the center of Gamborg directly at the square in front of the small church you can find a small selection of fruit / vegetables (seasonal) on sale.

NV Land Guide

The only marina in Gamborg Fjord has only about one metre of water depth and is therefore only visited by very few pleasure craft. However, guests are invited to use the club facilities.

In the 18th and 19th centuries, porpoises were hunted in Gamborg Fjord. The animals were driven into the shallow water with rowing strokes, nets and loud shouts and slain there (see also Middelfart).

However, these rough times are now over. Today you can find a lot of nature and tranquillity here in tranquil surroundings, as well as watch the odd porpoise.
