Navigation
The approach (water depth approx. 1.5 m) to the unlit harbor is unproblematic during the day, but a risk at night. The wind turbine just south of the harbor is a good landmark during the day. The harbor has a strong tendency to silt up - so the actual depth may differ from the target depth.

NV Land Guide
In this remote, tiny little harbor, the supply options are very poor. This deserted place is all the better for walks on the Helnæs peninsula, which is only connected to Agernæs and the mainland by a long causeway. If you fancy a long hike, you can walk through the village of Helnæs to Lindehoved lighthouse, covering more than 20 kilometers there and back.
Another argument for a flying visit to Agernæs is its proximity to Helnæs Bay. You only have to cross the road to launch your dinghy in the calm waters of the bay. The partly marshy and reed-covered terrain shows that the land connection between Agernæs and Funen has not existed for long.
One kilometer northeast of the harbour begins the Brunshuse vacation home area.
A magnificent view can be enjoyed from the green hills of the Helnæs peninsula to the causeway that connects the island with Fyn. On a clear day, you can also see across to the island of Als.
