Description

Small marina directly south of the Holnis lighthouse on the west side of the Holnis peninsula in scenic surroundings.

Navigation

The approach is possible day and night. It takes place through the designated 2.3 m deep channel with 121°. At night this approx. 300 m long channel is illuminated with a leading light (2F).

Berths

Guests lie on green marked places. The water depth is approx. 2-2,5 m.

Surroundings

Some utilities exist at the scenic harbor. Bread roll and shopping service, clubhouse and restaurant are available.

NV Land Guide

In contrast to the Glücksburg marina, which blends harmoniously into the landscape, Schausende is a modern, almost square marina built into the landscape. Nevertheless, the village, which lies about two kilometres north-east of Glücksburg, is a worthwhile destination for those seeking peace and quiet, as there is no through traffic here. The wooded area to the south of the harbour stretches almost as far as Glücksburg. It offers the opportunity for extensive hikes. Even more beautiful is the hiking trail around the peninsula Holnis, which starts directly at the harbour. The small village consists mainly of single-family houses and is not necessarily worth seeing. Also the two high-rise buildings at the harbour are no jewels. But the harbour is quite attractive because of its rural seclusion. There is a restaurant in the clubhouse and there is a bread and shopping service. Bathing beach and adventure playground are available.
