Navigation

The approach to the marina is possible day and night. It takes place from the north to the fired harbour entrance (Q.G and Q.R).

Attention: Because of the overlapping piers the fires appear reversed at first! The entry is from the east.

Berths

The harbour offers about 800 places at floating and fixed jetties, 4m water depth.

Surroundings

The marina with hotel facilities offer extensive services incl. restaurants and wellness. In Warnemünde (ferry to the west bank of the Warnow) you will find good shopping facilities.

NV Land Guide

The Hohe Düne looks back on a long and eventful history (see also Warnemünde). In 1264 the city of Rostock gained the right over the harbour at the mouth of the Warnow into the Baltic Sea. Since the 1st World War, the harbour has been used for military purposes by seaplanes and navy ships. In addition, there was also civil aviation here at times, for example in 1924/25 on the line from Berlin via Warnemünde and Karlskrona to Stockholm.

The naval base on the north bank of the Breitling, which was established after World War 2, was initially used by the People's Navy and is now in the hands of the Federal Navy since the fall of the Wall.

The location on the sea canal opposite Warnemünde makes Hohe Düne an attractive residential location. Since 2005, a modern hotel and marina complex has been built here with every conceivable service and wellness option. The kilometre-long Baltic Sea beach offers bathing opportunities or invites you to take long walks. On the eastern pier of the Seekanal, the marina is home to the floating research facility "Marine Science Center", where visitors can not only observe seals, but even dive with them.
