Navigation

The approach to the salt lagoon is only possible during the day. From WP 343 one runs on approx. 4m water depth to the southern tip of the peninsula Wustrow. Via the shallow buoy Werder-N you then follow the buoyed fairway to Rerik.

Berths

The two western jetties belong to the Reriker Seglerverein and offer 30 guest berths on 2.2 m on the right of the two jetties. To the east of the fishermen's pier is the town's water recreation area (Haffanleger) with about 20 guest berths on about 1.5 m water depth. The jetty of the boat rental should not be used.

Surroundings

Sanitary facilities are available in the harbor area. Good supplies and restaurants are available in the nearby Baltic resort.

When the wind blows from the SW, there is swell in the unprotected harbor.

Beautifully situated Baltic seaside resort on the Wustrow peninsula with long sandy beach, steep coast and pier facing the Baltic Sea. Sandy beach and steep coast alternate and invite you to swim and take long walks along the coast. In summer, the place is flooded with vacationers and day visitors. On the harbor promenade there are several restaurants, in the town there are all kinds of supplies. Worth seeing is the 13th-century St. John's Church in early Gothic brick with its Baroque interior and colorful 17th-century paintings. The Salzhaff with its adjacent salt marshes, dunes and bird sanctuaries invites you to take long rambles through the unique landscape. It is recognized as a European bird sanctuary and offers numerous shorebirds an ideal breeding and feeding area. Less romantic are the ruins of the former Flak Artillery School I of the Reichswehr in the northwest of the peninsula. The barracks area was taken over by the Soviet Army after the war and used as a site. The site is still closed to the public today due to ammunition residues. Authorized guided tours with historical background information are available by appointment.
