NV Cruising Guide

Navigation

Those unfamiliar with the area should only enter the port during the day. The approach is from the north via a channel marked with a pair of buoys (target depth 2.8 m). The channel tends to silting up, so that shallower depths must be expected.

Berths

The harbour is very busy with local boats. Guests may find a spot on the inside of the breakwater - south of the ferry dock. Or you can talk to the harbour master and moor in a temporarily free box. The water depth is approx. 2.0 m. The ferry pier may not be occupied by pleasure boats.

Surroundings

There are no facilities or utilities other than sanitary facilities. There is a ferry connection to Halsnæs.

NV Land Guide

If you can avoid it, you shouldn't moor in the long, tube-like harbour, but rather in Lynæs, diagonally opposite. The moorings are, so to speak, a by-product of the dam that had to be built here so that the ferry from the opposite Sølager could moor between the sands.

The ferry traffic is extremely disturbing. Added to this is the lively summer bathing around the isolated harbour. The only building by the moorings is a restaurant with a kiosk. On the land side a huge holiday home area stretches out, behind it a large forest of the Nordskoven.
