Description

Small fishing and yacht harbour on the Swedish coast about 5 nm north of the Tylögrund lighthouse.

The harbour can be approached day and night. However, those unfamiliar with the area should not enter during onshore , strong winds. The occupancy of the adjacent shooting area R41A Ringenäs is to be considered.

In addition, the approach (with large stones on the fairway sides and a target depth of 2m) tends to silting up. Steer 044° towards the pair of leading lights (2 F.R) below the windmill, which is easy to make out, until you have the leading lights (2 F.G) under cover at 110° immediately north of the harbour, then run in bearing to the pier head.

Berths

Since the harbour is quite busy with local boats, guests will find only limited berths here. One lies - after arrangement with the adjoining owners - on free places on a water depth of 2.2 m. There are also boxes at the floating jetty, but they are very narrow.

Surroundings

Besides sanitary facilities at the clubhouse and fresh water at the harbor, there are no utilities in the scenic area.

NV Land Guide

A strikingly high stone pack protects the remote little harbour. In contrast, fine sandy beaches, scattered cottages on the hill near the harbour and an old windmill (one kilometre northeast of the harbour) make for a beautiful setting. A clubhouse with basic sanitary facilities is located at the harbour, but the lack of supply facilities is the price to pay for the remoteness.
