Description

Small, local marina of "Mellerup Bådelaug", on the western shore of Randers Fjord.

From the western fairway of the fjord, which is buoyed only in the summer, a designated channel with a target depth of 2 m leads to the fired harbour.

Berths

Guests can find berths at 2m water depth by arrangement with the moorers. The ferry dock, 300m south of the harbour, may not be used.

Surroundings

Except for sanitary facilities in the clubhouse and fresh water, there are no other supply possibilities. A ferry connection leads to Voer.

NV Land Guide

The only sight in the immediate vicinity of Mellerup is Støvringgård Castle, three kilometres south of the village.

It was built in 1622 on a man-made castle hill that slopes steeply down to the east. Initially built as a three-winged complex, the castle was extended to a four-winged estate in 1747 after it became a pen for single ladies. Guided tours of the so-called Knights' Hall, with its portrait paintings, and the building's chapel and cellars, unchanged since 1760, take place in the afternoons from April to October.

Other than that, the small harbour on the western shore of Randers Fjord offers nothing out of the ordinary apart from the usual basic amenities. 300 metres south of the site, a small car ferry crosses the narrow fjord. The road coming from the ferry station leads past the harbour into the village, which starts one kilometre west of the berths and has limited utilities.
