Description

Simple, somewhat remote small boat harbour on the north shore of Mariagerfjord.

Navigation

The approach to the unlit harbour is only recommended during the day. It is accessed directly from the Mariagerfjord fairway.

Berths

Guests can moor on the outside of the bulwark on 1.8m deep water in calm weather. The harbour itself is only 1.5 m deep and occupied by local boats.

Surroundings

At the harbour you will find simple toilet facilities and fresh water. Otherwise, there are no supply facilities.

NV Land Guide

If it weren't for the monumental, ugly Diana cement factory on the opposite south shore, there would be nothing wrong with this little place. The factory is truly no jewel of the otherwise scenic Mariager Fjord. The smoke rising from its chimneys can be seen from far away. Extensive forests and large meadow areas surround the small harbour and the village a kilometre to the north, which has an old church worth seeing.

Hiking trails criss-cross the eastern Vivebrogård Skov (forest). They lead to Ovegård Mill at the mouth of the Villestrup Aa, three kilometres southeast of Vive's jetties.
