The unlit harbour should not be approached by those unfamiliar with the area. The harbour itself and the approach with a target depth of 1.7m are prone to silting up.

Berths

There are almost no berthing opportunities for guest berth holders in this very narrow harbour with water depths of around 1.2m.

Surroundings

Besides a toilet, you will not find any service or supply facilities in Skäret.

NV Land Guide

Whoever is able to call at the tiny and shallow harbour on the south coast of Skälderbucht and is then lucky enough to find a mooring, will encounter a fascinating gem.

A dozen old half-timbered and low wooden cottages surround the former net meadow of the fishermen. Fish is sold in a brightly decorated wooden shack just off the mini-harbour.

Smoked mackerel fillets are a speciality. At a reasonable distance from the old fishing settlement is a holiday home development on the south-western hill. A few hundred metres inland, on the road leading to the harbour, a lovely beer garden beckons under shady trees.
