The approach to the lighted harbour is possible day and night. From the Aarhus Bay you steer with northwesterly course towards the fired harbour entrance. For safety reasons, the buoyed restricted area (munitions dumped during the Second World War) in front of the harbour should be observed. A good landmark is the conspicuous beacon of the southern pier.

Berths

Guests will find enough space here. One lies in free boxes or alongside the head according to the instructions of the harbour master. The water depth is 2 - 3 m.

Surroundings

In this modern marina you will find all service facilities, including a sailmaker, a ship chandler and a gas station. There are a few grocery stores in the vicinity. There are good bus connections to Aarhus.

Egå is one of those typical, huge suburban marinas that have sprung up all along the coasts of Denmark's urban areas in recent years. Over 1000 keelboats and dinghies can be accommodated in the marina, which stretches over a kilometre in a north-south direction and measures around 700 metres from east to west. The contrast to the small, cosy harbours will be felt particularly strongly by those who were moored in the opposite Knebel Bay the night before or who come from Egens Vig. Nappedam and Egå are two worlds apart. But for the fact that the sports skipper has to do without atmosphere, the sterile complex offers all the luxuries, from ship chandlery to dry sluice, that are lacking at the moorings of Molsland. Reddish-brown wooden houses conceal restaurants, a small grocery store, a café, a workshop, washing machines and much more.

A bus runs to central Aarhus every 20 minutes or so. A large parking lot and a large harbor apron provide sufficient distance from the road to Aarhus, behind which stretches a huge area of bungalows. This typical suburban development does not make the harbour more attractive. But at least: A walkway leads south across the small river "Ny Egå" to the beach at the harbour.
