Small and modern marina in the southern part of Roskilde Fjord.

For those unfamiliar with the area, the approach is only recommended during the day. The approach is via the partly buoyed fairway. Keep well clear of the shallow shore at Agernæs.

Berths

Guests lie on free places (after arrangement with the harbour master). The eastern jetty of the harbour is only suitable for shallow going boats. The water depth is otherwise about 1.8 m. Anchorages:
A mooring field is located just off the harbour entrance to the north-east of the buoy line. A very sheltered and picturesque anchorage can be found 2 nm to the southwest in Lejre Vig at a water depth of 2 m.

Surroundings

The well-kept, small marina offers the usual facilities and a nice clubhouse. In the village of Herslev, 700 m away, there is the possibility to get the essentials.

I guess no one comes here by chance. The small harbour is too hidden in the south-western corner of the Roskildefjord. The remoteness is at the same time the best guarantee that the one who sails to Herslev has his peace and he must share the "small, intact world" only with a few guests.

Directly at the harbor is a single building, the beautiful clubhouse with shower and toilet. Also the way to the village one kilometre south is lined with only a few houses. The village of Herslev is a gem that you rarely find anymore - with pretty half-timbered and thatched houses, a church worth seeing, a kro, a shop, a village pond in the south and even a petrol station. The oldest parts of the church probably date from the 14th century, the wall paintings from around 1500, and the additions to the tower and chapel date from the 17th century. The jewel in the crown is the pulpit from 1615.

Avoid trips to Vesterskov (four kilometres) and Bøgnæs Storskov (five kilometres). The path to the two forests on the rugged peninsula northeast of the harbour branches off sharply to the left as you enter Herslev. The clearings in the woods offer excellent views of the Roskildefjord. With good folding bikes, you could also take a trip to Roskilde, nine kilometres away.
