Navigation
The approach to the fired harbour is unproblematic day and night. It takes place directly from the Sound with a southwesterly course.
Berths
Guests will hardly find any free places here, as the harbour is occupied by local yachts. Free berths can be used by arrangement with the harbour master. One lies on firm ground tackle with a line and should not use one's own anchor, as there is a risk of it getting stuck. The fishing spots to the southwest of the harbour should not be used. The harbour is very prone to silting up and is regularly dredged clear in the summer. The water depth is 0.9 - 2.9 m.
Surroundings
In the cozy harbor you will find satisfactory service facilities (including a boatyard). The village offers a number of supply facilities.
NV Land Guide
Sletten is a perfect harbour idyll. Many cute thatched and half-timbered houses with small gardens nestle on the hill near the moorings of the old fishing village. Sletten owes the preservation of its original character to the coastal road created in 1922, which was routed around the village through the Laveswald forest. From today's point of view it is pleasing that the structural development has stopped since that time. But the death of the fishermen's guild could not be stopped in Sletten either. Only a few professional fishermen still sail out from here to their fishing grounds, even though a number of recreational fishermen create a sympathetic chaos at the harbour. The drying yard is still a reminder of the heyday of fishing in Sletten.
Danish dishes are now served in the cosy Sletten Kro, where spirits, rum and cordage were once traded. The inn is just around the corner from the harbour.
200 metres inland, the new buildings of the village begin, and 500 metres northwest, Torpenvej offers plenty of shopping. A grocery store, a general store, a hairdresser and even a dog salon are located in the street by the busy arterial road between Helsingør and Copenhagen. Not far away (two kilometres to the north) already lie the port of Humlebæk and the famous art museum Louisiana.
