NV Land Guide

Even if it doesn't look like it at first - deep beneath the tranquil landscape of the Gnitz peninsula, there are oil deposits underground that are still being extracted today. However, the oil is no longer transported by ship. The former oil terminal in Netzelkow is now used as a marina with an adjoining caravan site. Directly at the jetty there is a restaurant, which is also used by day trippers and caravan tourists.

The small village church of Netzelkow is one of the oldest on Usedom. In Lütow, a good 2 km SW of the harbour, the remains of a megalithic grave from the Neolithic period can be visited.  In Neuendorf is the manor house, built in 1820, which is now used for "soft tourism". It offers space for cultural events and also houses a restaurant.
