Description

Jetty on the Polish shore side of Lake Neuwarp.

Navigation

The approach is only recommended during the day. The fairway, which is well buoyed up to Altwarp, begins at buoy 9. From here, steer with 173° on the green buoy side, if possible, until you have passed the port of Altwarp (see Navigation: Altwarp). The border dolphin south of the harbour Altwarp is left on starboard side and steered with 153° towards the jetty Neuwarp.

Berths

The small jetty offers only very few guest boats space on 1.6 - 3.6m water depth. In addition, it is often visited by boats of the Maritime Office Szczecin and a passenger ship. It is advisable to register with the harbour master, whose Polish name is "Bosman".

Surroundings

Sanitary facilities are located 50m south of the jetty. Utilities and a restaurant are available. Hikes to Kavelberg or to the Kirchhaken are recommended.

NV Land Guide

The long Polish fishing and farming village is hardly bigger than the opposite Altwarp on the German side of the border.

New Warp ("Nowe Warpno") has since emerged. The limited supply options are on a Polish-rural level, but there are three pubs that are open regularly.

Sightseeing attractions are few or now derelict, apart from the 15th-century church in the village, which is open all the time, including a couple of estates in the naturally beautiful surroundings. Also the once lively shipyard activity belongs to the past. Charming is the redesigned market place with the town hall of the city. From Easter to October, 3 to 4 times a day a cutter (Lütt Matten) goes back and forth between Altwarp and Neuwarp.
