Description

Small jetty and ferry terminal on the south side at the entrance to the Großer Jasmunder Bodden.

Navigation

The approach is also possible for those unfamiliar with the area by day and night. Coming from the west, you steer a southerly course directly towards the jetty. Coming from the east, the ferry crossing the fairway must be observed.

Depending on wind direction and strength, current sets in, which can amount to 3kn in stormy winds from the southwest to west. In strong winds from the northeast, the easterly current sets at 2 - 3kn.

Berths

On the south shore, pleasure craft can moor at the west quay or the north pier at 2.3 - 3.3m water depth. The moorings west of the ferry pier are for fishing boats. The western pier on the north shore at the place called "Wittower Fähre" offers few berths for boats with shallow draught.

There are no sanitation facilities, drinking water or utilities.
