Description

Fishing and sports boat harbor with guest berths

NV Cruising Guide

Navigation

The fairway to the harbor is not lit, so approaching in the dark is only possible with local knowledge. Coming from the open sea, you enter with the help of the Söö lights: Heading 115.5° past a dangerous shoal into safer water. If you are close to Söö's lower lights, you can head directly for Söö's upper lights. Once you have passed the green prick to the west of Söö's upper fire, you round the island close to land and head for Hunnebostrand at a course of approx. 70°.

Berths

You are exceptionally protected from swell by stern buoys or stern lines laid out at the guest berths in the southern part of the harbor basin at a water depth of 2.5 - 5 m.

Another 200 berths are located in Hunnebostrand Hamn, 0.6 nautical miles to the south.

Surroundings

Famous for its fishing and stone quarrying since the 12th century. There is also a small museum with a photo exhibition near the guest bridge, a large local history museum a little further away and a museum about stone extraction in a disused quarry. Bus connections exist primarily with Uddevalla
