Access from the open sea can also be made at night, the entrance is well lit. A careful study of the nautical chart is nevertheless essential. Note the long, shallow area on the western shore of the bay.

Berths

You can moor here at a stern anchor or aft at a buoy. Guest berths can be found on the starboard side at Vadskäret or a little further north in the marina. The water depth is 2 - 5 m. In the southern part of the harbour it can get choppy with northerly winds, otherwise you can lie well protected everywhere here.

Surroundings

Grebbestad has always been a fishing village, bathing resort and trading centre with a small roadstead. The place was known for its mud bath. Today the place lives mainly from tourism, which is why it is quite lively here in the summer. It is also Sweden's crustacean and shellfish metropolis. Besides oysters, lobsters, sea crabs and shrimps are landed, which are processed in a large cannery.
