Navigation
From the Södra Syster and Brände Holmen fairways, you head straight for Långeskär. The small island immediately east of Långeskär is called Rösholmen. You follow Rösholmen's eastern coastline and then pass between Långeskär and the small archipelago Långeskärsklunkarna to the northwest. Now you can follow Långeskär's coastline to the desired berth. If you want to go to the bay to the south, you can enter directly from the fairway.
Berths
Especially in the northeast of Långeskär, you can moor off stern anchors at a water depth of 2 - 3.5 m until close to shore. You can also moor in the bay on the southeast side of the island. There, however, the water is only 1 - 2.5 m deep. The northern berth is sheltered from winds from the south-east to the south-west, even when the wind is fresh from the west. When the wind blows from northwest and north, it is better to lie in the southern bay. Rock hooks are mainly found in the northern bay. The nature of the anchoring ground varies greatly. The current in the sound usually sets north at a speed of less than 1 knot.
Surroundings
Bare but hospitable skerry quite far out in the Fjällbacka archipelago. There is remarkable fauna in the depressions, and a few sandy beaches or nice bathing rocks on the east side. From a hill on the island you have a view of the whole Väderöfjord.
