Navigation

The approach to the moorings in the north-east of Björnäsen is in deep water. To enter Musösältan, keep close to the east side of Björnåsen. In the bay, watch out for shallows.

Berths

At the rock hooks on Björnåsen marked on the map, you lie before stern anchor. The water depth is 2 - 4 m, but close under land it becomes very shallow. Good shelter from winds from southwest to northwest, moderate shelter from southerly winds. The anchoring ground is generally good, but there are some places with sea grass. Anchoring is recommended in the bay of Musösältan. Here you are very protected from swell in winds from all directions, the wind protection is only moderate, but the clayey anchorage ground is good.

Surroundings

Musösältan is best known for its good anchorages, its long sandy beaches and beautiful bathing rocks. Musön is large and invites you to go for long walks.
