NV Cruising Guide
Navigation
From the large fairway you can enter the western part directly without any problems. To enter the eastern part, keep several boat lengths clear of the shore of the island of Tån, or sail directly into the bay from the southern tip of the island of Brandskär.
Berths
You can lie in front of stern anchors or alongside the rocks at three points on the island of Tån and in the sound between Tån and Väggen at 2 - 4.5 m water depth. The western part offers good shelter from all winds except west-northwest to north. The eastern part offers good protection from winds from southwest to north. If it gets tight here, it is recommended to use a stern line to the opposite shore instead of the stern anchor.
Surroundings
Tån and Väggen are located in a bird sanctuary that may not be entered during the period from April 1 to July 15. The islands are a little barren, but offer a fantastic view over the Malmöfjord and of the Bondebrotten rocks, the sight of which is very impressive, especially in strong winds. The bathing places are inviting. The bird life is rich and requires consideration outside the protection times. The great water depths and easy landing make the island very popular, which is why you are seldom alone.
