Navigation

Coming from the fairway at Fisketången, you steer east or west past Sönner Hampholmen directly into the bay. To get to Hampholmarna's moorings, use the deck bearing over a white spot on a small skerry and Smögen's church tower, keeping very close to this line.

Berths

You moor off stern anchors in marked places with rock hooks on the north side of Lilla Långö at a water depth of 1.6 - 2.5 m. Close to shore, however, it can be shallower. Good protection from swell in almost all wind directions, except between north and north-east; slightly worse wind protection in south-westerly winds. You can also moor at marked places at Västra Hampholmen and Mellom Hampholmen. Here you lie in 2.5 - 6 m of water. At Mellom Hampholmen, even larger boats can moor alongside and find shelter from winds from north to east. Even if the wind is very strong or comes from other directions, you can moor here. In the bay of Långö you can anchor well in water depths of 8 - 10 m on a loamy bottom with protection from winds from the southeast and west.

Surroundings

The archipelago offers good protection and is easy to get to thanks to the proximity to the large fairway, consequently also well visited. There are beautiful rocks here and the islands are big enough to stretch your feet. There are plenty of nice places to swim and a beautiful view of both the open sea and the fairway between the islands.
