Description

Good modern marina with a boatyard and a gas station. There is electricity and water at the jetty. The marina is located right in the city and offers good protection.

NV Cruising Guide

Navigation

The marina is located west of the large city harbor, just outside the city. During the day, the large pier is clearly visible. Also at night the approach is easy. There are only the red/green approach lights. There are no obstructions in front of the harbor. Further west, freighters are often anchored during storms. Here caution is required.

Berths

The marina is simple, but offers everything you need for a stay. Mooring is Roman Catholic at the jetties, so with mooring lines. The harbormaster (24/7) directs the place. The harbor is well protected in almost all wind directions (swell only in strong southerly winds).

Surroundings

The supply situation is good. At the jetty there is water and electricity (charged extra, water with meter), there is a small supermarket in the parallel street to the port, west of the port there are larger supermarkets (including Lidl), in the city center above the city port AB (10 minutes walk). In the city port is possible to clear in/out. Port police and customs are close together (5 minutes walk from the marina). In the marina there are several restaurants and with the Skipper's a nice bistro.
