Information

In spring, the current sets predominantly to the north, whereas in fall it sets predominantly to the south. In summer, it depends on the general weather conditions over the North Sea and Baltic Sea, as well as the tides, which are approx. 0.2 m in the Little Belt.

Southerly current
Winds from SW over west and north to NNO usually cause a southerly current, which often exceeds 1 kn in the Snævringen fairway. In places, there are fog currents that reach considerable strength.

Northern current
Winds from ONE across east and south to SW usually cause north-setting currents that often exceed 1 kn in the Snævringen fairway. In places, fog currents occur that can reach considerable strength.
