Water levels and currents:

In calm weather, the current capsizes regularly and runs at 1-2 sm/h. The difference between mean high water and mean low water is 0.6 m. Stormy SE-SW winds bring current to the north and 0.6 to 0.8 m lower water levels. In strong SE winds, the northward flow often lasts longer and reaches speeds of up to 4 nm/h in some narrow areas. Stormy NW-NE winds bring southerly currents and up to 1.5 m higher water levels.
