The two artificial islands, Hejren and Mågen, together form a large and modern suburban marina of København on the northern shore of Køge Bay with about 850 berths.
NV Cruising Guide
Navigation
The approach can be recommended to those unfamiliar with the area only during the day because of the many nets off the coast, but is also possible at night in the leading light line 332.8°. The entrance and the outer harbour have a target depth of 3m, but tend to silt up, so expect considerably shallower depths.
Berths
The harbours are heavily occupied with local yachts, but guests can always find a place in 2 - 3m of water.
Surroundings
The marina offers a wide range of services, but it is hard to find any supply facilities near the harbour.
The train to København is 2,5km away.
NV Land Guide
The large harbour facility is hardly different in nature from Vallensbæk, Ishøj Strand and Brøndby Strand. It was created (like all the harbours in the large-scale Køgebucht Strandpark project) by filling in. This has created a large water area around the berths and child-friendly sandy beaches.
None of the marinas in the Strandpark project are particularly cosy. But as spacious and family-friendly harbours away from the suburbs of Copenhagen, the recreational area of the big city is definitely a travel tip. But as I said: Danish cosiness does not offer Hundige.
