Bediening kan worden aangevraagd bij de Regionale Verkeerscentrale Dordrecht, per marifoonkanaal VHF 71 of telefonisch 088-7970800, of de Verkeersmanagement Centrale Rhoon, per marifoon VHF 22 of telefonisch 088-7985132. Een groot bijzonder transport, waarbij de brugpassage netto langer duurt dan 6 minuten, dient vanwege afstemming met de beheerders in de Merwedecorridor, ten minste 8 weken van tevoren het vaarplan bij het digitaal loket van Rijkswaterstaat/Scheepvaartverkeerscentrum. De brug mag bediend worden tot en met een gemiddelde windsnelheid (gemeten over 10 minuten) van 10,7 m/s (indicatief t/m 5 Bft).
