AT at MW 2,8 m, DH 5,25 m, zHG for pleasure boats 15 km/h on developed, 12 km/h on undeveloped stretches. In the developed stretches, keep in mind the partially lowered sheet pile walls, keep your distance from the shore.

Driving rules for pleasure boats on the waterway intersection:

On the trough bridge over the Elbe there is directional traffic, meeting, overtaking and lying still are prohibited, the commercial shipping has priority.
There is radio self-awareness via VHF radiotelephone channel 10 (in the ship-to-ship traffic circle).
Muscle-powered pleasure craft are not allowed to cross the canal bridge, sailing is prohibited.
If no oncoming craft is in sight, the leader of a pleasure craft reports for a crossing via intercom or on VHF radiotelephone channel 79 and follows the instructions. The pleasure craft waiting stations with intercom systems are located in front of the waiting areas for commercial vessels.
Pleasure craft are only allowed to cross the canal bridge behind commercial vessels.
The predominant procedure is to cross the trough bridge in convoy if several pleasure craft have accumulated at the waiting stations. In most cases, the pleasure craft will join the last commercial vessel crossing.
The traffic lights at the waterway crossing will only be activated in exceptional cases.
