The cuts between the groynes, which supposedly offer themselves as moorings, are unsuitable for this purpose. They dry out at low tide and sometimes also from the suction of passing push boats. The fairway in front of the "Reitweiner Nase" runs along the eastern shore, on the western shore it is too shallow at normal water level for deep-drawn vessels.
