Description

Tkon is located on the Pasmanski Channel, the ferry pier to Biograd (15min) is just south of the harbor basin and is white fired. The boat harbor has several docks and a wide northern pier, the southern pier head has a red fire. This is where the larger fishing boats are moored, with the smaller, local boats moored in the two inner basins. Yachts find 20-25 places on mooring lines on the inside of the north pier (1.5 - 2.5m water depth). There are all shopping facilities, numerous restaurants and the supermarket and ATM is right at the harbor. Tkon with the beautiful beaches, clear water for swimming and snorkeling is a popular vacation destination .

The village was reestablished here in 1997, the original village was 2 km south in the mountains. People lived from farming and collecting shells in the Pasmanski Channel. There are numerous sights across the centuries, for example, in 1059 on the ruins of a Byzantine fortress on the mountain Veli Prvanj (184m), the Benedictine monastery of St. Kuzme was built - today a cultural monument of the first order. The way there is worthwhile, the old walls of the inhabited monastery and the breathtaking view over the sea and the island are a special experience.
