Marina Kornati is located in the northern part of the port of
Biograd with 500 berths and 200 ashore. It is home to large charter
companies, accordingly there is a lot of commotion at crew change
times. It is a "full service marina" with technical service,
sailmakers, restaurants, boutiques bars, etc. - Hospital, museum
and tourist information are in the city of Biograd.
Note: Who arrives as a charter guest with the car, should not park
on one of the places next to the marina, allegedly unpaid fees are
collected in warning manner with a hefty surcharge possibly a year
later. Parking slip pick up!!!!
The city Biograd has to offer beside the many purchase possibilities and restaurants also some objects of interest. The old town center is located on the small peninsula south of the marina. It was first mentioned in the 10th century and has been the seat of Croatian kings and bishops since the 11th century. In 1125 the Venetians destroyed the town. The city wall with round towers was demolished at the end of the 19th century. The monastery church of St. John, a three-nave basilica is preserved, only ruins of St. Thomas church are left. The parish church of St. Anastasia, built in 1761, contains baroque altars. In the local museum there is an archaeological collection with prehistoric, ancient and old Croatian exhibits.
