Description

The small place Luka is located on the east side, almost in the middle of the "Long Island" Dugi Otok. Guests can find a place just entering on the east side at the head of the pier (3m) or behind it on the pier with mooring lines on 2m water depth. The places are usually scarce, but you can also anchor well in the bay on 2,5- 10m water depth and moor with the dinghy at one of the small jetties. Also the restaurant entering on the west side of Uvala Luka has a small pier with 3m water depth. The village at the foot of the highest mountain of Dugi Otok, Vela Straz (337m) is worth a visit, especially the promenade from the 14th century is worth seeing. The town lives from fishing and agriculture and therefore the offer of fresh products in the restaurants is very good. The small peninsula is ideal for walks and also to the village Zman southeast, on the other side of the peninsula is not very far.
