Jakisnica is a small fishing village on the barren long
peninsula in the north of Pag. Here people live from fishing, sheep
breeding, olives, fig trees and today from tourism. Here in the bay
there are 3 restaurants, a supermarket and a hotel. On the inner
side of the northern breakwater (3m) you can moor with a stern
anchor, but the place is usually occupied. The jetties and
the small basin are for local boats, but you can anchor well in the
bay at 6m water depth.
Today there are still the old footpaths to the bays and as a connection between the road. A very old path leads from Jakisnica to the north, through the holm oak forest to the small bay Slatina with a beautiful beach and a medicinal mud (1km).
