Description

Novalja is the second largest town on the island of Pag, but the largest tourist center not only on the island of Pag. Here cavorts the party and beach life from all over Europe.
The port, however, has little space for guests, at the western pier on the north shore you can moor on the inside at the head (2.5-3m) with stern anchor.  The water depth under land is at the crane  only 1.2m. East of the pier moorings are at 4m water depth, there you usually have more luck to find a place. From the fired harbor quay a fast ferry sails to the surrounding islands and has its berth here at night, but here you can moor briefly for water bunkering. At the gas station it is for most yachts with only 1m water depth, too shallow to refuel. Best one anchors on 4m water depth in the outer harbor, is however also liable to pay fees and the reason is partly unclean.

The place has a harbor office, hospital and pharmacy and all other supply possibilities.

There is however not only party life in the city, but also some historical objects of interest from the settlement history of the place, e.g. the 1km long Roman aqueduct from the 1. Jhr., ruins of three frühchristl. Basilicas (4. Jhr.). and on the eastern beach Caska lie under water the ruins of a Roman settlement, which was destroyed in the 4.Jhr. during an earthquake.
