Description

The Nature Park Vransko Jezero (Vrana Lake) is a karst doline filled with fresh water and is fed from underground fresh water springs that have drinking water quality.

 Since 1999, the lake with its current size of 30sqkm,13km long, 2km wide and 4m deep is an ornithological nature reserve with a very wide variety of species.

The lake is very rich in fish with pike, mullet, eels and numerous other freshwater fish and is one of the more important fishing grounds east of the Adriatic Sea.

Not only anglers and ornithologists and enjoy the Vransko Jezero Nature Park, but also walkers and cyclists enjoy the nature at the lake. A 30 km long path leads around the lake with various viewpoints.

The entrance fee to the Vransko Jezero Nature Park is 3,- €/day, a fishing license 10,- €/day, you can also rent kayaks or book an ornithological guided tour.
