Description

Privic-Luka, the small main village of the island and today a holiday resort. The small, inner harbour is, like the northern shore, occupied by local small boats. At the long outer pier the ferry moors in front on the inner side, behind it yachts can moor on 2.8m water depth. In the harbour bay there are also moorings from the surrounding restaurants and there are short, shallow jetties for going ashore with the dinghy on the shore. However, anchoring is prohibited. You should definitely visit the memorial museum to Faust Vrančić, the great Croatian scientist, inventor and visionary. It is right by the ferry pier and his grave in the church of Sv.Marije is also there. There is a beautiful circular walk around the island, past the olive, pomegranate and fig trees. Benches and canobas invite you to take a break on the 2-3 hour path and you will be rewarded with a beautiful view of the mainland and the Sibenik archipelago.
